    A Kingdom of Conscience

"Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that God may love thee. Speak the truth, always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong."

This movie moved me... it reminded me that the battle isn't over yet - I'll have to fight till it's over, till my breath comes to its last.

"A better world than has ever been seen. A kingdom of conscience. A kingdom of heaven."

As I leave, I will pack a loadful of memories with me. It wasn't just an experience but a learning one. Tommorow's uncertain. I really don't know. But I'm certain that I have engraved a meaningful niche upon every mind that I've met. I have left something good on the ground that I recently trodded upon. Someday I will be proud, someday they'll be proud and happy that we've crossed each other's path.

Great surprises come in small packages..

    CALIBRATED PREEMPTIVE RESPONSE.

Its worst than ever. A signal that tried to send a message "I don't want to step down and I am very scared" This calibrated whatever thing is a clear sign of ethical imbecility, political strife and genuine greed to the superlative. I thought our policemen are dutybound to protect the people and not only the president?

I am too much disgusted how Ate Glue unscrupulously lambasted and ordered to water the people whom catapulted her to power. As things materialized, the way GMA tried to show-off and project a strong image clearly shows that she is the weakest.

    GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO.

Small but terrible. Great usurper. Cheater. Liar. She was worst than Erap. At the height of the protest to overthrow him, Erap conceded and never used violence to shut up the truth. At least Erap was the duly constituted president then. He was voted by the people. He didnt grab power by cheating. Ate Glue on the otherhand, eagerly arranged an exit plan and compromise on the height of the protests. She was never to be found in one of those protests or rallies, not until the military withdrew their support from Erap. Not until she was already to be proclaimed. And now she cheated us by saying Hello Garci.

In this story of struggle for integrity, Ate Glue will always be haunted by the truth. It will never stop until it catches her in shame and be able to slap her in the face and tell: Indeed, great surprises come in small packages!

    Sad but true

I reposted a friend's letter hoping that it could reach the hearts of those who are concerned.
    Thanks Art.

    Guys, what happened to us?

Lately, we havent been talking much, havent bonded much, havent been
together much, despite the fact that we study in the same school
grounds, and we havent done our Bible Study activity for a long time.

Is it because of our thesis? finals? school project? barkada?

Now that the finals week is over (or at least comming to an end),

    Arent we forgetting something?

Now that our schoolwork is over (or almost over), what next? After our
schoolwork, then will we remember our God? will God only be number two?

Bretherens, am not saying this as if I am asserting that im clean and
not commiting mistakes in this life. Im just reminding everyone.

You see, I've noticed, we're only happy when things are going along
with us. But when hardships come, we fall apart. We dont hear from
one another anymore when problems come. And just look at us. Our
mission in school, are we gonna be the ones defeated?

I hope not. I pray not.

Let us do our best not to forget the most important things in our
lives first. Let us not take it for granted. We are Christians. In
each and every sense of the word. We are Christians no matter where
we are and what we do.

    We can do this. together.

Wake me up when september ends

Lately, my fascination was caught by Greenday's recent music video Wake Me Up When September Ends. Well its a first of its kind for the punk rock band. If i'm not mistaken, it seems as if it's
the first video where the band inculcated a strong dramatic efffect to accompany a gloomy lyrics to send a message to their viewers. And I guess it pays off, because I've been hearing positive feedbacks for the video which, I think is Greeeenday's subtle protest and move to renounce war.

    The lyrics goes:

    Summer has come and passed
    The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Like my father's come to pass
Seven years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends

    Here comes the rain again
    Falling from the stars

    Drenched in my pain again
    Becoming who we are

    As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost

Wake me up when September ends

    Summer has come and passed
    The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

    Ring out the bells again
Like we did when spring began

Wake me up when september ends

    Here comes the rain again
    Falling from the stars

    Drenched in my pain again
    Becoming who we are

    As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost

Wake me up when september ends

    Summer has come and passed
    The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends

Like my father's come to pass
Twenty years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends

Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends
